The Council is committed to maintaining an accurate and up-to-date asset register to ensure the safeguarding of fixed assets.

These Financial Regulations govern the financial management of the council and may only be amended or varied by resolution of the council.

To support and promote community wellbeing, the Council’s annual budget includes a specified sum for the purpose of grant funding to Community Groups.

The Council is responsible for ensuing that there is an adequate and effective system of internal audit of its accounting records,and of its system of internal control in accordance with proper practices.

The Council council produces an Annual Investment Strategy which sets out its policy for managing the investments and giving priority to the liquidity and security.

This policy outlines how the Council is required to maintain adequate financial reserves to meet its operational and strategic needs.
