A short history of St Agnes Parish and the surrounding hamlets that now make up wards in the Parish.

Councillors are elected to represent an individual geographical unit on the council, known as a Ward and are generally elected by the public every four years.

The Council is supported by a team of five office-based staff, five maintenance employees and four library staff.

The Parish Council has an extensive range of policies and procedures in place guiding all aspects of governance, finance and operations.

To support and promote community wellbeing, the Council’s annual budget includes a specified sum for the purpose of grant funding to Community Groups.

In order to comply with the Accounts and Audit Regulations and associated documents, the Parish Council is required to publish certain information.

The Council’s Certificates of Recognition celebrate adults and young people who go above and beyond for the community, with Certificates presented annually at the Annual Parish Meeting.

From time to time the Council may advertise vacancies for staff, specific services or Councillors.

The St Agnes Neighbourhood Development Plan Steering Group, in conjunction with St Agnes Parish Council has now been completed and adopted.
