St. Agnes Parish Council has signed a formal Letter of No Confidence in South West Water, addressed to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.
The letter raises serious concerns about the management of Cornwall’s water and sewage systems, including sewage pollution, infrastructure, public health, water bills, environmental impact and the effect on Cornwall’s rivers, beaches, communities and tourism.
The Parish Council does not regulate South West Water. That responsibility sits with Government and statutory regulators. However, the Council can make representations on matters affecting the parish and wider Cornwall.
By signing the letter, St. Agnes Parish Council has added its voice to wider calls for stronger action to protect Cornwall’s environment, public health and coastal communities.
