Nomination papers can be obtained from the Deputy Returning Officer at Cornwall Council:

Completed nomination papers must be delivered in person to the Deputy Returning Officer at County Hall.
The deadline is:
4pm on Friday 11 September 2026
Nomination papers can be submitted on 4 September and 7–11 September, between:
10am–1pm and 2pm–4pm
Polling day
If more than one candidate stands and the election is contested, polling day will be:
Thursday 8 October 2026
Voting deadlines
The deadline to register to vote in this election is midnight on Tuesday 22 September.
Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate must be received by 5pm on Wednesday 30 September.
The deadline for new postal vote applications, or changes to existing postal or proxy arrangements, is 5pm on Wednesday 23 September.
New applications to vote by proxy must normally be received by 5pm on Wednesday 30 September.
