An election is to be held for one Parish Councillor for the Mount Hawke Ward of St Agnes Parish Council.
Nomination papers may be obtained from the Deputy Returning Officer at Cornwall Council, 0E, County Hall, Treyew Road, Truro, TR1 3AY. You can also contact Electoral Services on 01872 324196.
Completed nomination papers must be delivered in person to the Deputy Returning Officer at Cornwall Council, 0E, County Hall, Treyew Road, Truro, TR1 3AY.
Nomination papers can be submitted at the following times:
Thursday 14 May: 10.00am – 11.30am only
Friday 15 May and Monday 18 May to Thursday 21 May: 10.00am – 1.00pm and 2.00pm – 4.00pm
The deadline for submitting nomination papers is 4.00pm on Thursday 21 May 2026.
If the election is contested, polling day will be Thursday 18 June 2026.
To vote in this election, residents must be registered to vote by midnight on Tuesday 2 June 2026. Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate or Anonymous Elector’s Document must be received by 5.00pm on Wednesday 10 June 2026.
Postal vote applications, or changes to existing postal or proxy voting arrangements, must be received by 5.00pm on Wednesday 3 June 2026. New proxy vote applications must be received by 5.00pm on Wednesday 10 June 2026, except in certain emergency circumstances.
